Day Lights are specially designed bright light therapy lamps recommended by doctors as the first line treatment for Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), or the winter blues. Used in clinical research for over 10 years, Day Lights conform to all standards set by light therapy experts – they provide the recommended 10,000 lux light dosage; the light source is delivered at an angle that mimics outdoor light; and they are 100% UV-filtered for safety.

20-30 minutes each morning is all it takes to significantly improve energy levels and regulate sleep patterns. The compact Day-Light casing can be used alone with the built-in, tilt-back stand, which also fits conveniently into standard carry on luggage. Three compact fluorescent light tubes (4,000 Kelvin) deliver 10,000 lux at 12 inches for light therapy usage. Two-way switch allows alternative 2-bulb, 7,000 lux setting.

DL930 Day Light 10,000 Lux SAD Lamp REVIEWs

5.0 out of 5 stars Brightens up your day!
You don’t need to have SAD issues to love this lamp. Albeit a bit overpriced, it’s something worth having. Tired to waking up to cloudy dark mornings, I got this lamp and a remote, so that I can turn it one without leaving the bed. This light is very bright, pretty well mimics the morning sunlight (at 4200k) rather than being too yellow (2700k) or white (5100k) or blue (6000k), and really gets your day started.

I’d highly recommend it to anyone who simply doesn’t happen to be living in a always-sunny state and have a bed next to a east facing window.

5.0 out of 5 stars IT WORKS
Here in Maine, we have many gloomy days. We need this to help with the blues. We set it on the table while reading the paper, At night we use it again for about 30 minutes. It has two settings, High and low. The legs are sturdy enough. Long cord, which helps. I must say this light works well. Excellent Warranty. On and off switch could use a label for high low and off, Good reviews by others was important for us in choosing this light. We are very happy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential for students! Works faster than Wellbutrin!
I live in Minnesota where it’s winter about 65% of the year. A lot of cold, dark mornings where your alarm goes off and you want to stay in a warm snuggly bed because there’s not a shred of sunlight to be found. I’ve struggled with wakefulness and SAD for the past few years, and decided, hey I could use a little piece of on-demand simulated sunlight!

This is one of the best purchases I’ve made for myself in a long time, and I wish I got it sooner. I’ve been operating with my brain sleepy for so many semesters, I forgot what it was like to be awake, well-rested and active. In nursing school it’s easy to wake up tired, be tired all day and then go to bed really tired, hoping that you’ll feel rested in the morning to follow. For the first time in 4 years, I have experienced an end to that tiredness cycle. Get this lamp if you feel tired all the damn time! It’s also one of the best studying lights I’ve ever used (I put it on the dim setting and point the lamp parallel to my desk over my book).

I felt profound and significant effects right away, from the moment I turned my lamp on. It’s now part of my morning routine, and I am phasing out my dosage of Wellbutrin.
